Developed to cultivate confident, visionary leaders within the National Pharmaceutical Association (NPhA), LDI combines executive-level instruction, personalized mentorship, reflective learning, and experiential engagement.

Participants engage in a multi-modal curriculum that strengthens strategic thinking, professional identity, and leadership execution while building a national network of peers and mentors.

Cohort 2 continues the tradition of developing transformational leaders who will shape the future of pharmacy and advance health equity nationwide.

Expand your expertise with insights from industry leaders. Sessions are open to all NPhA members, with exclusive Q&A access for Cohort participants.

2. Personalized Coaching

Work with an experienced pharmacist mentor to help bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be in your leadership journey.

3. Leadership Book Club (Optional)

Explore leadership principles through John Maxwell’s Developing the Leader Within You 2.0.

4. Active Association Engagement

Leadership is action. Participants are encouraged to actively participate in an NPhA Committee.

5. National Convention Workshop

Join us in Maryland for an exclusive LDI-only workshop on Motivation & Management featuring Dean Henry Lewis.

6. Capstone Project

Present a group or individual poster project during the Convention workshop and showcase your leadership development.

About Dr. Henry Lewis III

Dr. Henry Lewis III is a pharmacist, educator, and civic leader whose career has been dedicated to advancing health equity, education, and leadership among minority health professionals.

A graduate of Florida A&M University and Mercer University, Dr. Lewis served as a longtime faculty member and dean at FAMU’s College of Pharmacy, later becoming dean of Texas Southern University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and president of Florida Memorial University.

His leadership has helped secure more than $100 million in funding to support education, research, and healthcare initiatives serving underserved communities.

Beyond academia, Dr. Lewis made history as the first African American elected to the Leon County Board of County Commissioners in Florida, where he championed economic development, affordable housing, and environmental protections.

His career reflects a lifelong commitment to preparing future leaders, shaping policy, and serving as a strong voice for underserved populations.
