Dr. Jonnie L. Early Installed as NPhA Foundation Chairman

Dr. Johnnie L. Early, Dean of The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy was recently installed as the Chairman of the National Pharmaceutical Association (NPhA) Foundation Board.Dr. Early is a distinguished member of the pharmacy profession and has earned a multitude of accolades throughout his career.Dr. Early joins the NPhA Foundation Board as a long-time member and supporter of the organization, being a charter member of thethe Student National Pharmaceutical Association, and a formerPresident of NPhA.Since 1995 he has managed, with the assistance of professional staff, the NPhA exhibits program and since 1997, the Pharmacy School Recruitment Fair.

In his new role as Chairman of the NPhA Foundation Board, Dr. Early plans to "focus on the membership of NPhA as part of an enhanced bottom-up philanthropic strategy with emphasis on support for pharmacy students." His experience as a studentand listening to current pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences students shapes his understanding of student needs and guides his actions.Dr. Early is committed to the mission of the Foundations, and continues to work towards the advancement of pharmacy and science.

Terrence Burroughs, RPh, MBA, President and Treasurer of the NPhA Foundation, believes that Dr. Early's installation as Chairman will be positive for the Foundation. He says that Dr. Early is "very energetic" and a "valuable asset to the NPhA."
